Asia Pyron was selected for this year's

Emerging Choreographers Series

with Mare Nostrum Elements,

a comprehensive program providing

up-and-coming dance makers with tools, means and support to create, develop and premiere a new finished work.

During the residency, PYDANCE built a new work called SINAJ, a choreographic piece that physicalizes the voice of notorious singer-songwriter, Janis Joplin, and is the first approach to building a choreographic show depicting late, iconic musicians of the 27 club.
